journey.energy follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, journey.energy uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.
In order to evaluate and improve our website, we use website analysis software Google Analytics provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Analytics enables us to create statistical reports on visitor activity and to improve our content and website performance. In order to make our website more attractive, we use Google Ads, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Ads enables us to make advertisements for our website in the Google search engine or on external websites and to evaluate how effective our advertising measures are. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Ads will store a non-essential cookie on your PC or device. Google Ireland Limited is the responsible data controller when using Google Ads. We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data when using Google Ads. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Leadfeeder is a web analytics service and evaluation tool provided by Liidio Oy / Leadfeeder (Mikonkatu 17 C, 00100 Helsinki). For this purpose, Leadfeeder collects the IP address of visitors. Leadfeeder uses a cookie called “_lfa”, which has an expiry date of two years from when it was first set. The cookie can only be set for this website domain and requires your consent.
Note that journey.energy has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.
